We’re pleased to announce our 2023 Spring Children’s Story Short & Mighty Competition for children aged 6-14 years. Submissions for spring open on March 10th and must come in latest by April 20th, 2023. So, if you’re looking for a creative kid’s activity in spring break, this is it :-).

This competition typically happens thrice a year, in March, August, and December. Our aim is to allow kids to go wild with their imaginations while presenting them with some uniquely South-Asian prompts to start.

The details are as follows:

  • The writing prompt this spring is: Aasman or Sky
  • Stories can be submitted in English and/or Hindustani
  • Submissions are required to have a 1000 word story on this theme. If children like sharing stories with pictures, add them in!
  • The top 3 entries that receive prizes will be seen in three age brackets: 6-9 years, 9-12 years, and 12-14 years.
  • All participants will get certificates.
  • Top 5 winners will get published on the Peerbagh Journal, and the top 3 winners will win prizes!
  • Spring submission window: March 10th to April 20th, 2023
