Hello, Austin! We are so excited to present our Holi storytelling event at the Austin Public Library’s Spicewood Springs branch. This event will take place on February 24th from 1-3pm at the library. The event is absolutely free to attend and is supported by the City of Austin’s We ALL Belong campaign. Learn more about belonging and the city’s campaign here.

You can walk in to the library or RSVP for a spot in advance. All participants may get free prizes, giveaways, and experience a magical time!


Books, stories, dance, yoga, and FREE ice creams!

Here are all the things to expect during this Saturday afternoon event full of Holi storytelling and a lot of surprises…

  • We will be learning about the story of Holi, the Festival of Colors – the mythology and magic behind it. You will see Peerbagh’s storybook and meet our writers and illustrators! This may mean that you win a signed copy of the book and toolkit.
  • Monsoon Dance and Yoga, an Indian dance studio in Austin will be joining us to create a dance and yoga workshop. This is open to all kids and families!
  • We will have a DIY Holi color making activity along with Holi coloring for kids and families
  • Finally, you will get FREE ice-cream from Lotus Creamery, an Austin base business that creates unique India-inspired ice-creams.
  • There are also other snacks, prizes, giveaways, and a lot of FUN!
