We are delighted to announce that Peerbagh will partner with technology provide Kaboo for its fall events bringing back letter writing. This includes the Varta Storytelling Festival in Ann Arbor (October 13) and the Diwali Storytelling event at Austin (November 2). Both the organizations are coming together to serve diaspora communities and connecting with their shared the love of stories.

Children, families, and anyone who join the events will be able to write and draw letters to loved ones (real or imaginary). We will provide some writing and coloring prompts for inspiration. After this, Kaboo’s logistics technology will work in the backend to prepare the letter and send it over to its recipients. We will be able to ship to the US, Canada, India, and Pakistan!

The aim of this collaboration is to encourage creative exploration and build a tangible memory of a moment. We are also invested in the artform of letter writing which enables meaningful intergenerational communications. With the help of Kaboo, these stories can now be converted into lifelong memories outside of our phones. Our hope is that with this small activity in a wonderfully crafted third space, we can encourage families to find slow moments of connection.
